Hard-working and trustworthy, Troy Knight grew up surrounded by nature in Washington state.
Working as a farmhand and logger from a young age cultivated a life-long love for wilderness, wildlife, and fresh air. It also helped build his steadfast Christian faith, a driving factor in his life and future work as a pastor.
When Troy’s first pastoring job took him to Alaska – where his wife, Karen, was from – Troy discovered the Last Frontier. Wild and free, Alaska proved a match for Troy’s spirit, and quickly became “home” for his growing family.
That was nearly 40 years ago!
A hunting, fishing, hiking, scuba-diving outdoorsman, Troy continues to explore this wild land to his heart’s content, and builds lasting relationships with Alaskans everywhere he roams.

Troy graduated from Northwest Nazarene University as a pastor in 1986 and began his pastoring journey in Anchorage, Alaska.
Along with acting as a spiritual leader throughout his pastoral career, Troy applied his excellent work ethic and unique skillset to church building improvements – such as adding indoor bathrooms or handicap ramps.
To financially provide for his family, Troy also worked odd jobs while he pastored – shoveling snow, stocking shelves and operating forklifts at Costco, canning fish during Alaska’s fishing season, surveying for logging companies, and driving delivery trucks for a moving company and the local school district.
Later, Troy excelled as a Material Coordinator & Expeditor for BP in one of the harshest physical environments imaginable: Alaska’s North Slope.
Throughout the years, Troy watched energy prices rise and Alaskan winters get harder – and that led him to start what he views as a new ministry in 2018: a spray foam insulation business.
Spray foam insulation helps Alaskans improve their homes – and lives – using a tangible product that directly saves them money.
He has sprayed ~90 sets of spray foam insulation every year since he started his business, helping Alaskans keep warm through even the darkest days of winter.
